Tracy Viator


Originally from Lubbock, Texas, Tracy began studying violin at the age of 6. She studied violin at Texas Tech University and gained experience in many areas of performing including solo performance, chamber music, and orchestra. Tracy has served as concertmaster of the University of Colorado Campus Orchestra (2015), Lubbock High School Chamber Orchestra (2011-2013), and TMEA Region 16 High School Orchestra (2012). She is currently an active performer with the University of Colorado Symphony Orchestra. Tracy has participated in festivals within the United States at the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival (2009, 2014) as well as overseas at the International Music Academy at Pilsen in the Czech Republic (2011). Tracy is a registered Suzuki teacher with the Suzuki Association of the Americas, completing Unit I with William Starr and Unit II with Kathleen Spring in 2015. Currently residing in Boulder, Colorado, Tracy is completing her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance under the tutelage of Harumi Rhodes. Previous teachers include Lina Bahn,  Annie Chalex-Boyle, Kirsten Yon, and Stephanie Ezerman.
